Heavens to Betsy is that felt???

Good Morning!
This week our hostest with the mostest over at Just Us Girls is Lisa and she is challenging us to use felt on our projects this week!  I've been dying to use this new set of sentiments from PTI called Glory Be.  I paired it with this digi image from Pink Cat Studios that I had colored but never used.  I cut out some black felt with my Spellbinder die and attached it with pop-ups behind my image kinda easy peasy!  All the deets are on the JUGS blog if you decide to join us this week!

Have a Happy New Year!

MTME Pretty Patterns sketch challenge #41

 Good Morning!
One holiday down and one more to go!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
This is just a plain and simple card I made using this weeks sketch.  It feels good to not be making Christmas cards.  I've put all my Christmas papers and stamps away until next season rolls around!  I should really work on it year round just to stay on top of it though!  LOL!!!

Like I said I kept it plain and simple by stamping my image and sentiment both from the stamp set Bold Botanical  and coloring it with my Copics.  I hope you can play along with us this week for all the deets head on over to MTME's Pretty Patterns challenge blog.

An Old Fashioned Christmas...

Hello,
Here we are just a week before Christmas can you believe it?  I must say though that this is the first year I'm actually ahead of the game!  The tree was put up two weeks ago and  is still standing, usually I have to put it up the night before because my cats just love to  tear it up!  This year I decided to live dangerously  and the cats have left it alone!  MIRACLE!!! The gifts are bought( not wrapped of course) and the cards are ready to go out!  Yippee!!!
I forgot I had this beautiful set of stamps from JustRite Stampers called Old Fashioned Christmas.  I decided to use them for this weeks Just Us Girls color challenge.  I just love the look I got with the Kraft cardstock.  I think the copics look awesome on it!  I hate to part with it! LOL!!! Anyway... I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week!

Whimsical Elf

Hello,
I finally had a little free time this afternoon and I'd been wanting to play with this cute little digi Hiding Elf stamp from Whimsie Doodles.  I had gotten this new pack of paper from PTI last week called Holiday Flourishes & Swirls.  I combined the two and this is what I came up with using the sketch from Whimsie Doodles December sketch challenge.  I got these cute little jingle bells from Michael's so I adhered this over the end of her paper pieced hat.

Thanks for stopping by!

Front and Center Please!!!

Hello!
This week is a technique challenge at Just Us Girls  and I am the hostest.  I thought it would be fun to try a Center step card. I've never made one before but they are real easy to make and make a nice change from the usual A2 card.  For my card I used papers from this cute little 6x6 pack from My Minds Eye (Lost & Found).  My image is from Curious by Design and the sentiment from PTI.

MTME Release: A Box isn't Just a box/Pretty Patterns sketch challenge

Good Morning!
Today is December 1st and that means it's release day over at My Time Made Easy.  I'm using this new template called A Box is a Box that can be made with a lid like I've done or with a Petal top.  (Check out the rest of the design team projects to see the different types.)  Instead of a Christmas theme today I opted to use the Petal cut out and make it into a birthday gift set using some of the older digi papers from theWistful Wonder set and also use this sketch for the MTME Pretty Patterns challenge for this week.

Just Us Girls Technique challenge

Good Morning!
This week at Just Us Girls  Andrea is our hostest and she has challenged us to make a card box with a set of cards to go with it.  I bought this poinsettia stamp from Penny Black at my local craft store.  I tell ya' I have gotten my money's worth with all the cards and card sets I've made and sold with this stamp.  It is one of my new favorite stamps!

I used the template from Splitcoast Stampers that can be found here box.  I made the base of the template like instructed but I altered the top of the box by making it into a flap top that I attached to the inside of the back.
I stamped the Poinsettia image twice using Versafine in Vintage Sepia and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I find it easier to cut around the raised edges.  I cut out the large then the center part of the other one and curled the edges with my score blade inked them up with Tim Holtz's Vintage photo and then layered them on top of each other with pop-ups.

For my sentiment on my card box I just typed it up in Word in the size and font I liked.

Below are the four cards I made to go inside my card box.

All my papers and sentiments are from PTI.  The Design papers are from the Library Ledger pack.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the girls have created!

Just A Splash

Hello!

A Ghostly Time with Just Us Girls

Good Morning!
Bet you thought this was going to be a Halloween card when you read the title?!  Nope!  It's our technique challenge over at Just Us Girls this week and our hostest with the mostest is the one and only Lisa!  She is challenging us with the ghosting technique which a tutorial can be found here if you decide to have a go at it.

I used a Tim Holt'z background script which I originally was going to use the piece I cut out of the middle but I couldn't get it to work into something I liked.  So... I ended up using the frame and cutting out an image from Graphic 45's Gentlemen collection that I inked up and put on pop-ups in the center of the cutout.  I used Tim Holtz's distress ink in Vintage Photo I like the look I got with this! I hope you get a chance to play along with JUGS this week!  I can't wait to pop by and see what you come up with!

Check out what the rest of the Girls have created along with our November Guest Designer Kim O'Connell!

MTME's Holiday Year in Review

Hello!
Today wraps up this months release at My Time Made Easy.  I'm sharing the fourth and final template being released this month called To the Point.  I used some of the new digi paper from the Farm House Fresh pack that I thought matched rather nicely with the Singing Silhouettes stamp set. I first used the cut file Caged and then stamped my image onto it for the focal point of my card.

I taped one end shut and used some seam binding that I sprayed and crinkled with
some Marshmallow Glimmer mist for a little sparkle to close up the other end.

I thought this would make a cute little wedding set even for a gift card.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the team has created!

Sweet Santa Treats

Hello!
I'm back again with another project I've made using the new template called Cover Alls from My Time Made Easy.  The minute I saw this template I knew I wanted to make mine look like Santa pants.  I used some of my fur material for the edging along with some silver sparkle paper for the belt buckle and buttons.  The shimmer shows up much better in person trust me!
My card is made using the Mr. Claus digi image and paper from the Candy Claus collection from last months release and the sentiment is from the new digi set called Yummy Sentiments.

Check out what Debbie and Monique have to share today!
