So Sweet.../JUGS #38

Good Morning!

YEAH!!!  Schools out!!!...and it's time for another challenge over at Just Us Girls.  This week Alicia is our host for the color challenge and she has come up with the delicious color combo of chocolate, vanilla and light pink!  When she mentioned ice cream colors  I knew right away what image I wanted to use!  This is Kiki La Rue, she's a digi image from All That Scraps.  My favorite kind of ice cream is chocolate.  Sooo! she had to have chocolate whether it's her favorite or not!  LOL!!!  I colored her in with my Copics added a little glossy accents to her buttons on her dress and shoes with a little glitter on her head band.  I used Spellbinders Nestabilities (Labels ten)  to place my sentiment on.  I just love the Waltzingmouse stamp sets that coordinate with the Nestabilities.  They just dress them up so nicely.

I hope you come and play with us this week!   Remember to post a direct link to your project on the JUGS blog.  If uploading to a public Gallery use the label JUGS38.

The dead line to be considered "Chic of the Week " is Thursday June 24th 9pm. I can't wait to see what you all create using our color combo! Thanks for stopping by and have a fun weekend!

One For the Boys

Hello!
This card is for my dear ole Father in-law.  I used PTI's Father Knows Best stamp set along with the argyle paper from Graphic 45's A Proper Gentleman collection to make my card.  This is such an awesome collection for making "guy" cards!  I entered this in  Totally Gorjuss's challenge 34 (for the boys).
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Father's Day!

Just Flying by...

Hello,
I made this simple Father's Day card with a cute little "mini"  Papertrey stamp set that I just had to have!  The little plane is perfect for a male oriented card because our guys don't want anything frilly but we want it to still be "cute"!  Am I right?!  LOL!!!   I've entered it into the Cupcake Craft Challenge which is to make a card for the boys.  Have a good one and thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Vintage Fathers Day

Hello!
Here I am with my favorite Father's Day card!  This is the one I'm giving to my Dad.  Not because it's an antique car or anything!  My Dad is seventy-one but let me tell ya'  he can out hike me on any given day.  Not to mention he just finished building a new home by himself last year.  Yeah, he had a little family help to put the shell up and that's it by gosh!  Being the proud man he is...if he mentioned he had something to do (like split a cord of wood) and before you'd get there in the morning he'd have it all done!!!  LOL!  Gotta love him!

A Proper Gentleman...

Hello!
I was making Father's Day cards today and was looking for a sketch for a little inspiration and found this great sketch over at  Unscripted Sketches today and decided to play along with them.  I just love Graphic 45 paper and have the Proper Gentleman pack which is just perfect for Father's Day.  I have made enough that I'm gonna post one each day this week!  I still haven't decided which one I'll give to my Dad yet!  LOL!   I will show you my favorite one tomorrow.  My sentiment is from PTI's Father Knows Best stamp set.  Have a good one and thanks for stopping by! ;0)

Celebrate! CSC #18

Hello!
Well here we are in week eighteen at the Critter Sketch Challenge blog.  This week it is a sketch challenge that has to have ribbon some where on your project.  This is my take on the sketch it sort of came together by accident.  I was originally going to use the reverse side of my bird image but it accidentally flipped over to the little birds in the tea cup.  And there you have it!  I made my flower by scrunching five green ones together with two maroon ones and adhered them together with glossy accents.  This is a fun technique that I learned from the very talented owner of our local scrapbook store.

Supplies; PTI-card stock-white & scarlet jewel, Webster's pages-DP (natures storybook),Kaiser-flowers, Inkssentials-glossy accents, Ribbon PTI-scarlet jewel

Thank You!

Hello!
My son graduated from High School yesterday and we had a little party for him and it was a late night for all... so I decided to stay home this weekend and catch up on some  house work and do some crafting!!!  YES!!!

This card I wanted to keep clean and simple.  I love the new PTI  Inside &Out:  Thank You stamp set.  The sentiment I used here looks good with the single flower image.  The flower is a digi image that is available from Stretch N' Bubbles.   I entered it in the Creative Card Crew challenge.  Which was to make a Thank You card. I hope you like it and thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Thank You / JUGS 37

Good Morning!

This Weeks  Just Us Girls  hostess is Pam and she is challenging us to get digital.  Our sponsor for this weeks challenge  is the very talented Lauren Meader of My Time Made Easy!

I used the digi  Sensational package for my card this week.  Now I am a huge fan of digital images because I  want instant gratification!  I like that I can size them to what ever size I want BUT I still have a hard time maneuvering the images to put them together into a "scene" like on my card.  (Thankfully my youngest son is a whiz at the computer and helped me with that part!)  I first took the stems and pasted them into Word and re-sized them.  Making the middle one a little larger  then the two side ones.  Then I went back and brought the flower over and did the same thing.

After I copied three more flowers and cut them out and added them onto my flowers with pop-ups to give my card some dimension.  The sentiment was easier because I just separated it and printed it out the size I wanted it to be!  Easy Peasy!

The mat for my image is a piece of white birch that I had gotten on a walk in the woods with my Dad.  He's big into nature and thought it would be cool to use it for something.  So I had the great idea to use it on a card!  I've had it under my craft mat for some time now to keep it flat and just happened to pull it out and wouldn't you know it matched  perfectly with my Webster Papers I had chosen. The Spellbinder die cut it so nicely too!
This week JUGS bids a fond farewell to the super talented Mona.  Like the rest of us she is human and can only do so much!  LOL!    If you get a chance stop by and wish her the best!  She will surely be missed!

For all the details on this weeks challenge  head on over to the Just Us Girls challenge blog.  I hope you decide to get digi with us this week  post a direct link to your project on the JUGS blog.  If up loading to a public Gallery use the label JUGS37.  For a little more inspiration stop by the rest of the teams blogs and check out their fab projects!

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge

Hello!
I finally have my computer up and fully running and have a little time to play!  So I thought I'd enter a card in this weeks Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  I printed my couch  from Stretch N' Bubbles ( found here )  onto some Graphic 45 DP paper  (Baby to Bride collection) cut it out and then colored some of it in with my Copics.   It's getting late so I'm going to have to make this post short and sweet!  Have a good night and thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls Sketch challenge #36

Good Morning!
Well I can finally let the cat out of the bag!  I tried out for the Just Us Girls design team awhile back and guess what!!?  Yep, I'm on the team!!!  I can't believe how lucky I am to get the opportunity to work with this group of very talented ladies.  Pinch me!!!  LOL!

For my first challenge as part of the JUGS design team we have *Wink *Wink Ink as our sponsor.  I have been a big fan of them since they began in January 2010.  Their images are original, well drawn, and clear with a style you won't find anywhere else! If you like animals, children and fantasy creatures you will love their stamps! New stamps are added to their store weekly, so there is always something new to see! All images are 300 dpi and come in 3 versions- black and white jpg for coloring, transparent png for layering on all your digital creations, and a colored jpg for use as a coloring guide or print and embellish for quick beautiful projects in no time flat!  I hope you stop on by and visit them at http://www.winkwinkink.com/

I used the colored digi image Pearl for my card along with the sentiment that is included with the set.  I went over it with my Copics to make my color more vibrant and to match my blue paper.  I cut out her had and layered it with pop-ups for a little dimension.  Whats nice about a digi image is that you can shrink it to fit where you want it and that is what I did to make my sentiment fit onto a Spellbinders label perfectly!

Melanie the owner of *Wink *Wink Ink is joining us as our guest designer this week.

If you don't have a *Wink *Wink digi image here's a link to their current freebie.

They are giving away 3 images to one lucky person this week.
