This week at Just Us Girls Andrea is our hostest and she has challenged us to make a card box with a set of cards to go with it. I bought this poinsettia stamp from Penny Black at my local craft store. I tell ya' I have gotten my money's worth with all the cards and card sets I've made and sold with this stamp. It is one of my new favorite stamps!
I used the template from Splitcoast Stampers that can be found here box. I made the base of the template like instructed but I altered the top of the box by making it into a flap top that I attached to the inside of the back.
I stamped the Poinsettia image twice using Versafine in Vintage Sepia and embossed with clear embossing powder. I find it easier to cut around the raised edges. I cut out the large then the center part of the other one and curled the edges with my score blade inked them up with Tim Holtz's Vintage photo and then layered them on top of each other with pop-ups.
For my sentiment on my card box I just typed it up in Word in the size and font I liked.
Below are the four cards I made to go inside my card box.
All my papers and sentiments are from PTI. The Design papers are from the Library Ledger pack.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the girls have created!
