Pretty Patterns 03

Hello!
Welcome to week three of the all new sketch challenge over at  the My Time Made Easy blog.  I decided to do the emboss resist technique for this weeks card!  I just love Graphic 45 papers (these inparticular) they work so well with this technique for me.  I picked up these really cool vintage buttons at my local scrapping store on Saturday and that's kinda how my card came together.  I just love going to this store because I always come back inspired and feeling very crafty!!!  Next Wednesday I'm going to a card class to make some really neat flowers with some sort of material  I've never heard of before.  I will share them with you ladies next week!  O.K. Sorry I got a little off track!  LOL!!!   Lets get back to my card...I used Rangers Enchanted Gold embossing powder to emboss with.  I didn't realize it had sparkles in it... so cool!!!  I must say it looks amazing in person!

I inked up the flowers with Spun Sugar and the edges with Antique Linen then I used a Q-tip to add a little Shabby Shutters to the leaves.

Supplies; Ranger Distress Inks-antique linen, spun sugar, shabby shutters,Enchanted Gold embossing powder, Graphic 45-Baby 2 Bride Collection,Once Upon a Springtime Collection, Dress it Up-Buttons, Ribbon-misc. Zippity Doo Dad

Good Saturday Morning Ladies!!!
This week at Just Us Girls we have a really cool 3-D technique for you to try!  It might sound difficult but it's truly not!  As a matter of fact  it can be quiet addicting!   Dana is our hostest this week and she has a tutorial for this beauty here!  While looking for an old zipper I came across a stash of old zippers that had never been opened from my moms stash, price tag .45 cents!  Anyway my zipper was 7 inches long so I just adhered the two sides together with my fabric glue.  I love not only how nice it looks but how easy it was to make!  I hope ya'll get a chance to make one.  I'll be anxious to see what everyone comes up with so go get busy girls!

Supplies;  PTI- Beautiful Bloom paper pack, white cardstock, Waltzingmouse-labels #4 stamp, PTI-Communique curves sentiments, Petaloo-florals, Spellbinders-Labels #4, Kaiser-pearl brad, Ribbon-misc.

Pretty Patterns 02

Good Morning!
Welcome to week two of the all new sketch challenge over at My Time Made Easy.  I have some exciting news to share with everyone. I am now a member of the new sketch challenge design team!  Yippee for me!!!... seeing I do love using Laurens stamps and I'm a big fan of Kristins digi papers this is gonna be a blast!  This week I used the Sensational Digital Pack for my card.  I seperated the flower from the digi pack in Gimp and then brought it to Word (because thats easier for me) copy and pasted and resized the stems to the size I wanted and then took the flower tops over and printed those out and then cut them out and adhered them with brads to the top of each stem!  What I find really cool about digis is that the image is never to big or small like an acrylic stamp and the same goes for the sentiments they can be resized to fit any where!

Here is my take on this weeks sketch!

Supplies; MTME-Sensational Digital Pack, Close to My Heart-papers (Wings), Copic Markers-V01,B45, Brads-misc., Punches-Stampin' Up.

JUGS #75 Acrylic Smash Technique

Hello!

I'm a little late with my post this weekend but alas I have come through with my card finally!  Between work and running around with the kiddos today let's just say it has taken me all day to complete it!   This is such a fun technique too!  I used my Birthday Bash Sentiments from PTI for this by placing them randomly onto a 2x3 acrylic block and stamping the clear card stock with black Staz On ink and then using a Q-tip I splashed color from my Adirondack dabber in aqua onto the back of my clear card stock.  I only own two acrylic paints in white and aqua so my colors were very limited but I like how it came out anyway!

Luck of the Irish???

Good Morning!

This is my take on the challenge this week over at The Shabby Tea Room.  I've always visited this blog for inspiration but had never played in this challenge before.  This looked like a fun one and I had a little extra time due to the snow storm on Monday I was able to hang out in my craft room!  Yeah!!!  The theme is luck of the Irish and to use green on our projects!  I used Fillable frames #12 from PTI to make my background paper and then inked it with Tim Holtz distress inks in Shabby Shutters and Peeled paint.  I used Very Vintage labels #4 stamp set from Waltzingmouse also.  Gotta run and get ready for work!  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Good Saturday Morning Ladies!

Over at Just Us Girls this week the uber talented Kristen has come up with this fun sketch for us to play with!   I also used this template from MTME for my MTME-Year in Review project today.  I thought I would tie my two projects together. I used the stamp set from MTME- Just for You. I have had the worst luck this week first my home computer has a virus then I broke my lamp for my photo tent hence the terrible photos!

This is a close up of my bow I made with tulle and ribbon.

Beautifully Caged

Good Morning Ladies!
I'm here with another project to share with you called Caged it is another of my favorite templates this month because... you might think what could I possible do with a bird cage???  Well as you can see from the MTME designers samples this week it is very versatile! Lauren has even made a basket with it!  I can see this as center pieces at a wedding or even a baby shower!  Who wouldn't like to get one of these beauties with a flameless candle or some other goodie tucked inside!

Here is a close up of my flowers I made them from coffee filters that I colored with distress inks in Milled Lavender, Concord and Peeled Paint for my leaves.  You just add one dropper of the color to a mini mixer and then the remainder of the mister with water.  I used Tim Holtz's Alterations-Tattered Florals die to make my flowers and then attached them to the Branching Out cut file.  I also used the Cornice Trimmed Oval cut file and the new stamp set Keep Strong for my sentiment.

For my card I used the Branching Out cut file that I shrunk down to fit on my card along with the Singing Silouette stamp set.

Check out MTME Designers Pam and Monique for even more delicious eye candy!

MTME-For the Birds

Hello!
Today is the first of March already and it is release day for all the new goodies the MTME design team has been sharing with you this past weekend!  Today I'm sharing with you the new stamp set Singing Silhouette.  I have made four cards that fit nicely into the Card Catch All from MTME with this set.  I also put together  the new template What's Your Angle?  I love  this template it is just so roomy!  It measures 31/2 inches wide, 31/2 inches deep and 61/2 inches tall.  How about that fabulous Abra-Bow-Dabra?!!!   I just couldn't wait to get my paws on that cut file!  It works well with a light weight paper and I found if I used my bone folder to sort of curl it like you would do with ribbon it folds down nicer with out getting a bend in your paper bow.  I learned that tip on my second try!

Whats Your Angle?

Abra-Bow-Dabra

I lined my envelopes to match my cards.

For my cards  and templates I used the new digi paper pack called Wistful Wonder.  I sized it down to 4x6 for a smaller pattern on my cards and 81/2x11 for the templates.  That's the nice thing about digi papers you can size them to fit any project!

My Card Catch All looks so much better in person.  I just could not get it to photograph clearly Grrrrr!!!

That's it for today!

Check out the rest of the MTME design teams blogs for more inspiration!!!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!!!
