A Sleigh Ride into MTME Preview

Happy Halloween!
In the Northeast we are celebrating Halloween under a blanket of snow!  It just doesn't seem right but sure gets me in the mood to start creating Christmas projects like this adorable little template called Sleigh Ride that will be available from the My Time Made Easy store tomorrow!

I made mine in the cream and brown tones because I love the look and feel of a rustic Christmas.  I inked and weathered up all the edges of my sleigh and card to give my project the old fashioned weathered look!

My tag and card I made using some of the images and sentiments from the new digi stamp set called Yummy Sentiments.  I used my Copic markers to color in the lights and words to match my sleigh.

Be sure to stop by Monique and Lisa's blogs to see what they've cooked up for you!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

MTME Pretty Pattern #33

Good Morning!
This week at MTME's Pretty pattern challenge I decided to flip the sketch so that I could use this little cutie called Made of Snow from MTME.  All my papers are digi papers from MTME.  I used Trendy Forest and Under the Cabana.  I colored my little snowman in with my Copics and added some sticles to the snow flakes and that's it! With all the ribbons I own would you believe I had absolutely no orange ribbon!  Luckily for me I had an orange Copic marker to take care of that by coloring my white ribbon in!

I'm so excited for this weekend we are heading to Salem MA for a spook-tacular weekend!  I've never been there but it should be a blast for Halloween! I hope everyone has a fun Halloween weekend!  Thanks for popping by!

A tisket a tasket a Pumpkin Basket!

Good Saturday Morning!
Just Us Girls has a fun 3-D challenge for us to try brought to you by Maria.  She has challenged us to create a Halloween themed 3-D project.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

I got my inspiration for my project from a picture I saw on a magazine of a white painted pumpkin with a black damask design on it.  So from there I created the above.

I first made a basket measuring 3 1/2 x 4.  I then cut out six ovals measuring 3 1/2 x 5 and stamped them with PTI's Fancy Flourishes in Tim Holtz's Rusty Hinge distress ink and embossed with clear embossing powder and inked the edges up with Tea Dye.  I then layered three ovals together and attached them at the top middle with a brad so that they would spread out into a pumpkin shape easily.  I then cut three strips of green paper (1/2 inch each) attached them together with a brad through each side of the basket and then decorated the top of my pumpkin with a rosette (Tim Holtz die) followed by some layers of flowers and stuck a few branches here and there using Martha Stewart's punch.

I just love having the time to create my own templates!
 It is such fun!!!

Be sure to check out what the rest of the JUGS have come up with along with our October guest designer Maureen!

MTME Sketch #32

Hello!
Now that fall is here and my camp is closed up for the winter I have lots of time to stay ahead of my deadlines and hopefully it will give me a little extra time to play in my scrap room!!!  I cleaned all day Sunday so that I  could spend spend all of Monday crafting!  I worked from 8am to 8pm.  Time sure does fly when you're having fun!!!

I must say I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this sketch!  It took me a little while to wrap my head around an idea but once I did...all was good!  I actually like what I came up with!

I used the branch and flowers from MTME's Singing Silhouettes stamp set and the sentiment from Framed Elegance for my card.  I inked up the branches with Tim Holtz's distress ink in Bundled Sage  and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then  inked up my flowers with a red ink and distressed all the edges with the new distress ink in Tea Dye.  My background paper is from the digi pack called Fresh Cut Expressions collection 2.

a Liitle Black Magic...please?

Good Saturday Morning Ladies!
We at Just Us Girls have a little Black Magic to share with you this fine morning courteous of the ever so talented Andrea.  She is challenging us to this fun technique called black magic and a tutorial can be found here if your not familiar with it.  I wasn't familiar with it at all but once I gave it a go it's rather addicting!  I couldn't find my good colored pencils from Stampin' up to save my soul so I picked up a cheap set of 24 pencils from Rose Art at Wally World and they worked just as well.
Here is my take on the technique.

I used my PTI Botanical Silhouettes stamp set for my card.

For all the deets and more inspiration head on over to the JUGS blog.

We also had a call for a new Design team member and we have not one but two new JUG Heads!
Please stop by Lynn and Vicki's blogs and give them a warm welcome to the team!!!
Both these ladies are very talented and we can't wait for you to see their work!!!

MTME Pretty Patterns sketch #30

Hello!
Here we are with another fun sketch from My Time Made Easy's Pretty Patterns challenge blog.  I love these digi papers from the Fresh Cut Collection 1 and thought I'd use the cake and sentiment from the digi stamp set On Display for this week.  I wanted to kinda keep it clean and simple atop the busy paper.  I like how it turned out.

Although when I asked the peanut gallery (my youngest son)  he said there was to much white.  Well...I hemmed and hawed over is he right or not???  LOL!!!  Then added some clear stickles to the cake!  For some reason it reminds me of a business card and I like it just the way it is!

I hope you can play along with us this week!

A Year in Review-Flapper Style

Hello,
Here I am back with one more project for My Time Made Easy.  It's our year in review where we use something from a previous release.  I've used some old and new for this project.  My template is called The Flapper.  This is a fun little treat box that goes together really fast.  I used some digi paper from the Chocolate Halloween digi pack along with a sentiment from the new digi  stamp set called Well Rounded.

My son asked me to make something that he could give to his girlfriend for Halloween and I thought this would be just perfect.  We filled it with mini Reese's Peanut Butter cups (her favorite and mine too)!!!  Yum! Yum!  I also made a little matching card to go with it.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the MTME design team has come up with.

The Happiest of Holidays- Group Post

Good Morning!
Here I am again with another template to share with you today from the October release from My Time Made Easy.  This little template is called Topped Off and can be purchased today.  I am so not happy with my photos.  It looks so darn cute in person but I probably shouldn't have used a white fringe just because it doesn't show contrast in the photo to well!  I used my fur edging on the hat and also the cute little gloves.  I just love things to have alot of texture.  Probably because I am a touchy feely sorta person.  I filled this with a little baggie of home made hot chocolate mix.
I made a coordinating card using the new Mrs. Claus digi papers along with the new stamp set called Beautiful Baubles.  This release is jammed packed with all kinds of goodies to get a jump start on your Christmas cards and gift boxes for sure!

How About a Pumpkin...Calendar page

Good Morning!
I probably say this each and every month but can you believe another month has flown by so quickly?  I for one can't believe it's October already!  It's such a pretty month with all the foliage and of course Halloween!  I think it's my favorite holiday to decorate for because I just love the rich colors of fall.  I just hate what comes afterwards...SNOW!!!

Here is my calendar page for October.  I just love making these every month, it's so much fun!  Check out the rest of the girls below to see what they've come up with for their calendar pages!!!  I for one can't wait to go have a peek!!!
