Good Morning!
Welcome to the Wild card challenge over at Just Us Girls! This week it's being being hosted by the fabulous Dana who has come up with this fun burnt edge flower technique! If you've never tried it there is a tutorial that can be found here. This was my first attempt at this technique and I must say the possibilties could be endless just using up scraps of material lying around that contain sythetic fibers. My problem was I had just "fall cleaned" my closet two weekends ago and got rid of every piece of clothing that I could have used! Sooooo I went to Wally World and purchased a small amount of material (.92 cents worth). Big spender I am! LOL!!! Instead of using her template for the flower she had I used my Spellbinders nestabilities (blossom) to cut my material out which was done lickity split! Seeing I was really busy this week cuz I had to take Friday off for a little oral surgery (fun it's not but with the help of good drugs i'm feeling real good ;0). I was pressed for time and they do work great just run the material thru a few times to get a good cut! As for the tea light do be careful so as not to burn the house down! LOL! My flower was flaming a few times but I quickly learned to not put it directly into the flame! LOL! I hope you ladies decide to give this a try! This is our last week with our October guest designer Selma. She has turned out some beautiful projects for JUGS this month!!! Stop by her blog and the rest of the teams blogs for more inspiration! Have yourselves a fabulously fun Halloween!!!

Beautiful Andrea - I'm glad to know that the nestie works - I almost tried it but then I just hand cut my circles. Worked just fine and yes - you need to not get INTO the flame! Way to rock this one.
