"Barking" Up the Right Tree

Hello!
I just have to say that it feels Soooo good to be back with my fellow "Jugsters"!  This week it's a 3-D/Technique challenge  that Maria is hosting and the challenge is to alter a tissue box.  I thought because it had to have a fall theme...why not get stuff from the woods around my house!  I just love all the rich colors of fall!  This idea came to me based off some fall checkered ribbon I thought I owned!!! (I conjured this ribbon up in my head and let me just say it's beautiful and would have looked FANTASTIC on this altered box)! Aaaah... All I can say is the drugs I was on enhanced my creative immensely!!!  God help me!!!

I used some White Birch that I took off some fallen trees.  I cut them to the size of the tissue box panels and then adhered them to the box with some Zip Dry glue.  I then added some burlap around the top that I inked it up with some Tim Holtz distress ink for a rustic look.  I found these twigs that were changing color along with some dried grass that I thought matched my Burnt Orange ribbon rather nicely!

I thought that I would add some fall Potpourri to my box and I think I'm gonna bring it to work and put it on my work station so I can enjoy it myself!

Check out what the rest of the Just Us Girls team and our September guest
designer  Monique Hansen have created to get your creative juices flowing!

For all the deets head on over to the JUGS Blog!!!
