'Tis the Season - Jugs 3-D challenge

Good Saturday Morning!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving with their loved ones.  Now some of the radio stations have started playing Christmas music to be heard from NOW until Christmas.  To me it's a constant reminder that  I'll never get done everything in time for the big day!  LOL!  Some how though it all manages to come together in the nick if time for most of us cuz I know I'm not alone in that feeling!
This week our hostest with the mostest is Kristen and are  challenge is add a 3-D holiday embellishment to our card or project.  I chose to make my wreath the 3-D focal point of my card.  Seeing that's what I spent my day doing (making wreathes and boughs).  I had sooo much fun doing it and once I had a little liquid inspiration...let's just say I became even more creative!!!  LOL!!!  Every ones came out so nice and different. I can't wait to do it again next year. LOL!  All the greens came from my Dads land so we had piles and piles off stuff under tarps outside the basement and when it got low we'd just haul another pile in.  I've put a picture of mine at the end of the post.

For my card I cut a ring and then just added the little boughs I punched out with my Martha Stewart punch.  I colored a few tiny white pearls with my red Copic marker to add to my wreath along with some silver ribbon from PTI for my bow.  My sentiment is the new PTI Big Bold Holiday Wishes.  I added pop-ups for dimension underneath my wreath and there you have it!  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by the other JUGS gals blogs for even more inspiration!

How to play: You need to upload your project for this week's challenge to your online blog or public photo gallery. Leave a link that goes directly to your project in the Inlinkz form at the bottom of this post. If you upload to online galleries, please also use the keyword or tag, JUGS61. After you post to Inlinkz you can also leave a comment here.

Deadline to be considered for the weekly "Chic of the Week" is 9:00 PM EST on Thursday, December 2cd. The Inlinkz form will close at that time. Our top pick "Chic of the Week" will be announced on the following Friday morning.

  5. LOVE your card! No matter how many leaf or branch punches or dies I get, my favorite will always be the Martha Stewart's leaf punch you used. It is perfectly designed.

  10. I have seen these wreathes made with this punch, but I don't think I've seen it on a card as simply pretty as yours! Love the simplicity and the color combo! Just beautiful and perfect for this challenge!

I remember one year I made wreathes for my dad's and grandfather's gravesites. I actually got the evergreens from the cemetery after a wind storm and all the pine branches were all over the grounds, along with some beautiful pine cones! Sounds eerie, but the wreathes came out beautifully and I was so proud of them! Love your wreath and bough! I'm envious!
