Critter Sketch challenge #16

Good Morning!
I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial weekend!  It is officially the beginning of my favorite time of year-beach time!  Yippie Ya Hoo!  And that is where I am spending the holiday weekend!  Tomorrow is also my 20th wedding anniversary!   Yikes! How time flies...!

The challenge over at The Critter Sketch Challenge is an inspiration card.  Your card has to have a flower and the color purple somewhere on it!  I chose to create a rambling rose which is a SVG cut file from MTME .  (Lauren has a tutorial on how to make it here. ) I cut mine out with my Cricut and then stamped it with PTI's-Background Dots & Spots.  I used the leaves from PTI's Delightful Dahlia stamp set and for my sentiment I used PTI's Big & Bold Wishes.
I first inked my sentiment up with PTI's Ripe Avocado then dipped my sentiment  right into Spring Moss to soften the darker color a little  and it gave it a dark to light hue. (kinda by accident but i like it)!  To finish my card off  I inked up the edges with some  Tim Holtz) Antique linen Distress ink.  The champagne colored lace was added  for a (I hope) classy look.  Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Come play with us I'd love to see what you can create!

Owl Tree

Hello,
This image is called Owl Tree and he is available at the Stretch N' Bubbles store today.  I colored him in with my Copics to match my design paper then cut him out and adhered him with pop-ups onto the image.   My tag I made with my scalloped punch.  I didn't have any red pearls to add to my card like I wanted so I just colored some white ones to match.  I don't know what I'd do without my Copics!  I put him into the challenge over at The Little Red Wagon.  The challenge is to create a card with a Birthday theme.

supplies; Copics, PTI-white,red card stock, DP-Beautiful Blooms, Ripe Avocado-ribbon, sentiment-fillable frames #4, SU-scallop punch

Nessy

Good Morning!
Today is digi free Wednesday at Stretch N' Bubbles.  This little serpent is called Nessy and she is available for free at the store today!  I paper pieced her so she would look like she was "in" the water.  I followed the sketch from SNB for this card.  Have a great day!  It's going to be another hot one here but I'm not complaining...bring it on!

Crafty Creations Challenge #68

Hello,
I got this image from All That Scraps and couldn't wait to use it.  I wanted to make a card with a country feel (by giving  it a weathered look) .  I tried doing it by smudging white ink over the gray and I'm happy with the way it turned out. It works perfectly with the challenge over at The Crafty Creations challenge it was to make a card with a celebration/encouragement theme. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Waltzingmouse May blog hop

Good morning!
I got my new Waltzingmouse stamps just in time for the blog hop! 'I wasn't gonna play if I didn't get my new ones in time!  LOL!!  I used Very Vintage labels No. 10 which goes perfectly with Fancy Phrases. I love using the Spellbinder Dies with these stamps they work perfectly together by giving them a decorative edge which compliments the sentiments.  No more empty space!  I wanted to use pink for my card and the Melissa Francis papers were perfect.  I cut up some little phrases from one of the sheets of paper and inked up all my edges for a vintage feel along with the Doily.  That's about it and now I'm off to hop!  It's so nice because it's morning and I'm not tired usually the blog hops are at night and I'm sooo ready for bed! Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by! :0)

Gnomes

Hello
I thought I'd play along with The Critter Sketch challenge this week.  We had to make a birthday card and this image called Gnomes was perfect for the challenge. The image is available at the Stretch N' Bubbles store.  I colored them in and then cut them out and added pop-ups to the front Gnome.  I used some Basic Grey paper from the max & whiskers pack along with some lace and a flower to tie it all together!

Secret Crafter Saturday challenge #83

Hi!
The Secret Crafter Saturday challenge this week is to use metal on your project!  I had the perfect image for the challenge...Kip the Robot from Stretch N' Bubbles.  Everyone knows that robots and metal are one in the same!  At least for a little boys' Birthday card!  I kept it pretty simple by just coloring him in with my Copics (N1,3,5 and 7)  I then gave him a little bling on the darker gray sections with my Spica clear pen. Added my metal pieces in Pewter and there you have it!  If you like my little robot he is available at the Stretch N' Bubbles store.  Thanks for taking a peek!  Have a good one!

Just Us Girls color challenge #33

Hello!
It's a color challenge over at  Just Us Girls this week.  Great colors this week for me because there is nothing I like better then inking up Kraft card stock with white ink!  It just gives any project  such a worn weathered look.  I thought it was perfect to give my card a very worn masculine look (nothing frilly).  I used two different stamp sets to write my sentiment (PTI's Spring time Doodles & Vintage Picnic) I thought "hero" was the  appropriate word and with the other words I was able to make it flow perfectly for my card.  It's the first word  that always comes to my mind when I think of past and present men and women who have served and are serving our country.  I hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by!   Have a good one!

The PlayDate Cafe challenge #

Hello!
What fun colors The Play Date Cafe has to play with this week!  The stamp set Enjoy the Ride from PTI is going to be one of my favorites I can tell!  It has so many cute little add-ons for birthdays, babies, weddings etc.  I know you probably are saying why did she put a car on a b/w checkered floor?  Well, because these colors remind me of the 50's ( not that I was around then)!!!...and why not!  LOL!  This paper I had in my stash from Kaiser was just perfect for the color theme too!  One of the fastest cards I've ever made!  Thank goodness cuz I'm still not feeling 100% and fade fast!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a good one!

Just Us Girls Technique Challenge #32

Hello!
Well this was a first for me making a pocket card!  I enjoy trying new techniques and over at the Just Us Girls challenge blog making a pocket card was the challenge for this week.  I've been wanting to make a wedding card with this digi cake from MTME for awhile now.  It's been sitting on my desk for about a month just waiting to be used!  LOL!  I printed it out three times and pieced it together for dimension.  On the green icing I added Glossy accents on each circle for a little more pop!  For my sentiment on the front I made a banner cut it ,free hand inked and curled the edgess cuz it didn't look right just lying flat.

Here are a a few more pics of the card seperated.

I really like how my pocket card came together with the Graphic 45 Le Romantique papers.  I hope you like it too!  Thanks for stopping by and Happy Mother's Day!

Just Us Girls- Design Team Tryout

Good Morning!
This is my entry for the Just Us Girls Design team call.  I went to the Creative Keepsakes Convention in Manchester, NH on Saturday and brought home all kinds of goodies.  So I couldn't wait to play!  LOL!  The challenge was to make a project using a template and then a card following their sketch.  I chose the Around Town Tote from PTI.  (It's one of my favorites).  The paper I chose is from October Afternoons-The Thrift Shop.  These papers were just itching to be made into a project!  I learned this new technique where you take a paper flower put a little glossy accents in the middle and then twist it up and swirl it in Distress Stickles and then cluster them all around each other.  I put mine around three Prima flowers I had put up on pop-ups.   (I took a close up below.)  For my card I pulled colors from my template so I could coordinate it.  I found this little door handle in my stash and just had to use it on my card. My sentiment is from MTME and it fit perfectly on the new Spellbinders- labels ten.  It seems to flow well with the sketch!  I hope you like my project!  Thanks for taking the time to stop by!  Have a good one!

Decorated Bird

Hello!
The challenge this week over at Our Creative Corner was to make a Mothers Day card  with out using flowers.  The  image I used is called Decorated Bird and you can find her at the Stretch N' Bubbles store.  I use some Kaiser pearls and a little lace trim from stash to give it a "girly" feel.  I hope you like her and thanks for stopping by!
