Just Us Girls Sketch Challenge #45

Hello Ladies!
This is my first time hosting a challenge as part of the Just Us Girls design team and this week is a sketch challenge.  I hope you will find the time to play along with us this week!

I seem to be on a Magnolia kick lately.  I have a bunch of images already colored because sometimes all I feel like doing is just coloring! LOL!!  It helps me wind down from a busy day at work and doesn't involve to much thinking!  And...seeing I'm starting  my vacation  I was swamped at work trying to squeeze everyone in before I left  I didn't have much time to create.  So thankfully I had a few images to fall back on! Summers are just to busy!  But I'm not complaining I like it that way!  It will not be long the kids will all be grown and gone!  Sigh!  I  have a hard time believing my oldest will be heading off to college in just a couple of weeks from now!

Anywhoo!  Here is my card which is pretty basic and true to the sketch.  I hope you have fun with it and I can't wait to see every ones take on it!  I just LOVE what the design team has done with the sketch!!!

Be sure and stop by their blogs for more inspiration and give a warm
welcome to our August guest designer Jo Westfoot

Supplies; PTI card stock and sentiment, Magnolia stamps-Tilda w/bunch of roses, ribbon/lace- misc., Copic Markers, Stampin' Up oval and scallop punches

  6. Sweet card!!! My one and only went off to college last year for the first time. It was an adjustment for sure, but after that, my husband and I have so enjoyed the time together.

  7. Oh my...your oldest is already leaving the nest? So sad to think...mine will follow next summer :[ I can't even imagine.

Love your card and how beautifully you colored the sweet Magnolia image. Very clever to have it partially overlap the rectangle...nice touch (that I always forget to do!). Love your color palette also :]
