Critter Sketch Challenge #28

Good Monday Morning!!!

This weeks Critter Sketch challenge is being brought to us by our fellow critter Moira.  She would like us to use the colour red and striped patterned paper somewhere on our creations. She'd love to see something summer related. If you create a scrapbook page it can be of a trip from this summer or summer's past or an activity that is generally summer related (swimming, camping, etc.) If you create a card or another project it could contain suns, bright colors, etc. The sky is the limit but remember colour red, stripped patterned paper, and summery!!!

Here's what I came up with for my card.

I used my Graphic 45 papers from the On the Boardwalk Collection along with Kraft and Black cardstock from PTI for my card.  The sentiment is also from PTI-A Day at the Beach.  I'm really happy the way this turned out!  Don't forget to check out the rest of the teams creations for a little more inspiration!  Have a good one!!!

Dear Friend

Good Monday morning!
Yep! It's Monday and that means it's time for another challenge over at The Critter Sketch Challenge blog!  This week is just a sketch challenge and this is the last week for our sponsor Robyn's Fetish.  They have some of the most adorable images!  I enjoyed playing with them very much!  Stop by the store and check out all the adorable digi's she has in her store!

This is my card that I made using the above sketch.  I first chose my papers then colored in my image (peterdapuppy) to match.  So much easier to do it that way I don't find myself having to go through my paper stash looking for the perfect match which I never find!   Stop by the Critter Sketch blog for more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team!

Celebrate! CSC #18

Hello!
Well here we are in week eighteen at the Critter Sketch Challenge blog.  This week it is a sketch challenge that has to have ribbon some where on your project.  This is my take on the sketch it sort of came together by accident.  I was originally going to use the reverse side of my bird image but it accidentally flipped over to the little birds in the tea cup.  And there you have it!  I made my flower by scrunching five green ones together with two maroon ones and adhered them together with glossy accents.  This is a fun technique that I learned from the very talented owner of our local scrapbook store.

Supplies; PTI-card stock-white & scarlet jewel, Webster's pages-DP (natures storybook),Kaiser-flowers, Inkssentials-glossy accents, Ribbon PTI-scarlet jewel

Critter Sketch challenge #16

Good Morning!
I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial weekend!  It is officially the beginning of my favorite time of year-beach time!  Yippie Ya Hoo!  And that is where I am spending the holiday weekend!  Tomorrow is also my 20th wedding anniversary!   Yikes! How time flies...!

The challenge over at The Critter Sketch Challenge is an inspiration card.  Your card has to have a flower and the color purple somewhere on it!  I chose to create a rambling rose which is a SVG cut file from MTME .  (Lauren has a tutorial on how to make it here. ) I cut mine out with my Cricut and then stamped it with PTI's-Background Dots & Spots.  I used the leaves from PTI's Delightful Dahlia stamp set and for my sentiment I used PTI's Big & Bold Wishes.
I first inked my sentiment up with PTI's Ripe Avocado then dipped my sentiment  right into Spring Moss to soften the darker color a little  and it gave it a dark to light hue. (kinda by accident but i like it)!  To finish my card off  I inked up the edges with some  Tim Holtz) Antique linen Distress ink.  The champagne colored lace was added  for a (I hope) classy look.  Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Come play with us I'd love to see what you can create!

Critter Sketch Challenge #6

Good Monday Morning!

If your looking for my Stretch N' Bubbles post scroll down.

Well this weeks challenge is a color challenge using sweet Donald's image for inspiration.

Your challenge is to use the colors Red, Blue, Gold, and White. This does have a little flex as far as the shades are concerned, just get it as close as possible.

For my card I used this little image from the Greeting Farm called Cheeky Glamour. I hope you like her and come give us a try over at The Critter Sketch Challenge Blog. These are such fun colors!!!

Hello

This is our 4th challenge over at The Critter Sketch challenge blog already! This week we are going to do things a little different!!! We are going to step away from a sketch this week and do an inspiration challenge.

So this week we challenge you to make a card using an image that has a flower in it. The image itself can be a flower or it can be an image that has a flower somewhere in it. The second part of the challenge is to use the color combo of blue, yellow, and green. It can be any shade of these colors just go wild and have fun!!! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Our sponsor for the month of march is Paper Jewels so don't forget that At the end of the month you'll have the opportunity to win a gift certificate from Paper Jewels. Play along each week and increase your chances to win (see Critter blog for more details.)

For my card I used my all time favorite PTI stamp set Friends Til' the End which I colored in with my copics, cut out and adhered with pop-ups. Have a great day!
