A Sleigh Ride into MTME Preview

Happy Halloween!
In the Northeast we are celebrating Halloween under a blanket of snow!  It just doesn't seem right but sure gets me in the mood to start creating Christmas projects like this adorable little template called Sleigh Ride that will be available from the My Time Made Easy store tomorrow!

I made mine in the cream and brown tones because I love the look and feel of a rustic Christmas.  I inked and weathered up all the edges of my sleigh and card to give my project the old fashioned weathered look!

My tag and card I made using some of the images and sentiments from the new digi stamp set called Yummy Sentiments.  I used my Copic markers to color in the lights and words to match my sleigh.

Be sure to stop by Monique and Lisa's blogs to see what they've cooked up for you!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

MTME Pretty Pattern #33

Good Morning!
This week at MTME's Pretty pattern challenge I decided to flip the sketch so that I could use this little cutie called Made of Snow from MTME.  All my papers are digi papers from MTME.  I used Trendy Forest and Under the Cabana.  I colored my little snowman in with my Copics and added some sticles to the snow flakes and that's it! With all the ribbons I own would you believe I had absolutely no orange ribbon!  Luckily for me I had an orange Copic marker to take care of that by coloring my white ribbon in!

I'm so excited for this weekend we are heading to Salem MA for a spook-tacular weekend!  I've never been there but it should be a blast for Halloween! I hope everyone has a fun Halloween weekend!  Thanks for popping by!

A tisket a tasket a Pumpkin Basket!

Good Saturday Morning!
Just Us Girls has a fun 3-D challenge for us to try brought to you by Maria.  She has challenged us to create a Halloween themed 3-D project.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

I got my inspiration for my project from a picture I saw on a magazine of a white painted pumpkin with a black damask design on it.  So from there I created the above.

I first made a basket measuring 3 1/2 x 4.  I then cut out six ovals measuring 3 1/2 x 5 and stamped them with PTI's Fancy Flourishes in Tim Holtz's Rusty Hinge distress ink and embossed with clear embossing powder and inked the edges up with Tea Dye.  I then layered three ovals together and attached them at the top middle with a brad so that they would spread out into a pumpkin shape easily.  I then cut three strips of green paper (1/2 inch each) attached them together with a brad through each side of the basket and then decorated the top of my pumpkin with a rosette (Tim Holtz die) followed by some layers of flowers and stuck a few branches here and there using Martha Stewart's punch.

I just love having the time to create my own templates!
 It is such fun!!!

Be sure to check out what the rest of the JUGS have come up with along with our October guest designer Maureen!

MTME Sketch #32

Hello!
Now that fall is here and my camp is closed up for the winter I have lots of time to stay ahead of my deadlines and hopefully it will give me a little extra time to play in my scrap room!!!  I cleaned all day Sunday so that I  could spend spend all of Monday crafting!  I worked from 8am to 8pm.  Time sure does fly when you're having fun!!!

I must say I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this sketch!  It took me a little while to wrap my head around an idea but once I did...all was good!  I actually like what I came up with!

I used the branch and flowers from MTME's Singing Silhouettes stamp set and the sentiment from Framed Elegance for my card.  I inked up the branches with Tim Holtz's distress ink in Bundled Sage  and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then  inked up my flowers with a red ink and distressed all the edges with the new distress ink in Tea Dye.  My background paper is from the digi pack called Fresh Cut Expressions collection 2.

JUGS #105 Color challenge

Hello!
This week at Just Us Girls "the" fabulous Pam is bringing us a color challenge.  We are to use..yep you guessed it the colors orange, purple, black and green.  This is so far from the card I originally started off making.  I got this paper pack from Recollections to go with the image I had colored.  I just decided to go this route when I had a mental block and couldn't figure out how to layout my original image. Sooo any...whooo this is what I ended up with!!!  LOL!!!
