MTME Group post: Insert Card Here

Good Morning,
Today is preview day at My Time Made Easy.  I'm previewing this cute and easy to assemble (two Pieces) little gift card box.  You can use it with or without the gift card insert.  After taking my picture I realized I hadn't taken any with my boxes open!  I will show the inside of one later this week I promise!!  This template is called Insert Card Here.  The bow is a cut file called Bow Tied. I also used some new digi flower paper from the Cool Escapes collection. They will all be available for purchase tomorrow.  Check out what the rest of the design team has come up with using this template!

Just Us Girls Technique challenge

Good Morning!
This week at Just Us Girls  Andrea is our hostest and she has challenged us to make a card box with a set of cards to go with it.  I bought this poinsettia stamp from Penny Black at my local craft store.  I tell ya' I have gotten my money's worth with all the cards and card sets I've made and sold with this stamp.  It is one of my new favorite stamps!

I used the template from Splitcoast Stampers that can be found here box.  I made the base of the template like instructed but I altered the top of the box by making it into a flap top that I attached to the inside of the back.
I stamped the Poinsettia image twice using Versafine in Vintage Sepia and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I find it easier to cut around the raised edges.  I cut out the large then the center part of the other one and curled the edges with my score blade inked them up with Tim Holtz's Vintage photo and then layered them on top of each other with pop-ups.

For my sentiment on my card box I just typed it up in Word in the size and font I liked.

Below are the four cards I made to go inside my card box.

All my papers and sentiments are from PTI.  The Design papers are from the Library Ledger pack.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the girls have created!

Just A Splash

Hello!
I was very happy to find some free time to play along with The Play Date Cafe this week because I just love the splash of color challenges that they have.  I looked at the challenge last night and knew it was with a splash of orange but then proceeded to make one with a splash of yellow instead .  What an idiot I am!  LOL!!!  I knew it was orange too but I guess I really wanted to use my yellow felt.  So any whoo after using the right colors this is what I came up with.

A Ghostly Time with Just Us Girls

Good Morning!
Bet you thought this was going to be a Halloween card when you read the title?!  Nope!  It's our technique challenge over at Just Us Girls this week and our hostest with the mostest is the one and only Lisa!  She is challenging us with the ghosting technique which a tutorial can be found here if you decide to have a go at it.

I used a Tim Holt'z background script which I originally was going to use the piece I cut out of the middle but I couldn't get it to work into something I liked.  So... I ended up using the frame and cutting out an image from Graphic 45's Gentlemen collection that I inked up and put on pop-ups in the center of the cutout.  I used Tim Holtz's distress ink in Vintage Photo I like the look I got with this! I hope you get a chance to play along with JUGS this week!  I can't wait to pop by and see what you come up with!

MTME's Holiday Year in Review

Hello!
Today wraps up this months release at My Time Made Easy.  I'm sharing the fourth and final template being released this month called To the Point.  I used some of the new digi paper from the Farm House Fresh pack that I thought matched rather nicely with the Singing Silhouettes stamp set. I first used the cut file Caged and then stamped my image onto it for the focal point of my card.

I taped one end shut and used some seam binding that I sprayed and crinkled with
some Marshmallow Glimmer mist for a little sparkle to close up the other end.

I thought this would make a cute little wedding set even for a gift card.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the team has created!

Sweet Santa Treats

Hello!
I'm back again with another project I've made using the new template called Cover Alls from My Time Made Easy.  The minute I saw this template I knew I wanted to make mine look like Santa pants.  I used some of my fur material for the edging along with some silver sparkle paper for the belt buckle and buttons.  The shimmer shows up much better in person trust me!
My card is made using the Mr. Claus digi image and paper from the Candy Claus collection from last months release and the sentiment is from the new digi set called Yummy Sentiments.

Check out what Debbie and Monique have to share today!

MTME Pretty Pattern #34

Hello!
Here is my take on this weeks Pretty Patterns sketch challenge from MTME.  I combined a little old and new for this card.  I used some of last Christmas's digi paper Candy Shoppe and sentiments from Secret Santa with one of the new Holly Jolly digi images from this months release. I printed out all the papers from this collection in 5x8 and then matched the colors to my Copics before coloring the images in because it just makes it easier to put it all together.   I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week.
